About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Facilities and Environmental Compliance Manager to join our team at Moog Tewkesbury. Reporting to the Site General Manager and as a key member of the Campus Management Meeting team, you will ensure the day-to-day adherence to all relevant UK facilities, environmental, and Health & Safety regulations. This role is crucial in maintaining our commitment to compliance, sustainability, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with UK facilities, environmental, and Health & Safety regulations, including ISO14001 certification.
- Oversee the maintenance of buildings, building services, and grounds.
- Implement and manage compliance systems to support legal requirements.
- Ensure reliable and cost-effective provision of site services (utilities, compressed air, HVAC, waste management, etc.).
- Manage facilities, environmental, and H&S sub-contracted services.
- Introduce and promote industry best practices at the site.
- Collaborate with senior management, corporate/group EHS teams, and other Moog UK site EHS teams.
- Drive continuous improvement in environmental and sustainability performance.
- Identify and implement initiatives to enhance environmental and sustainability practices.
- Actively participate in company Tiered meetings and department level tiered meetings, providing updates and contributing to decision-making processes.
Qualifications:
Essential
Minimum of NEBOSH National Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety (or equivalent)
Minimum of IEMA Foundation Certificate (or equivalent)
At least 5 years of progressive experience (usually post-education) in a manufacturing /engineering environment.
At least 2 years of management experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment
Desirable
- Gained or be working towards the NEBOSH Level 4 Diploma in Occupational and Safety Practice
- Gained or be working towards IEMA Diploma in sustainable business practice.
- Diploma/Degree Level Management qualification (or equivalent)
